Many cultures have a comfort dish like rice porridge.

Cook porridge during labor and serve during labor and at a minimum for the first week postpartum. May eat this many times a day.

Congee is very easy to digest, so it is good for treating any weakness in the digestive system.

When using whole grains, congee is also good for constipation.
