Come to Sunny Florida for Relaxation & Reprieve

What is a Healing Vacation?

A healing vacation is a time away from your everyday life in which you focus on your physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual renewal.

When you come to beautiful Sarasota, Florida you will be greeted with gentle breezes, wide beaches, and soothing waters.

You will receive 2 – 4 hours of care each day with Dr. Caroline Peterson.

When you are not receiving care, it will be important to have time to move gently, rest, and integrate the healings you are participating in.

You may also feel energized, curious, and want to explore Sarasota.

If you want to include more movement in your visit, you will find relaxing and interesting activities such as gardens, art galleries, cultural events, boating, shopping and more.

Sarasota restaurants will provide you with delicious local seafood, healthy whole foods, and farm to table dining.

Sarasota provides you with a balance of experiences in nature and culture.

Sarasota is only a two hour drive from Disney World.

You can tag on a trip to Disney/Epcot before or after your healing vacation.

What Kind of Care Can I Get During a Healing Vacation?

Your healing vacation is designed to help you resolve chronic issues that would respond to 10-20 hours of care.

What Will Happen During My Healing Vacation Care?

If you are in town for a week, you will schedule 2-4 hours of care daily.

You can schedule 4 hours in a row, or split 2 hours in the morning and 2 hours in the afternoon.

If you are in town for two weeks, you will cycle your care by scheduling 2-4 hours of care for 2-3 days in a row, then taking off a day or two, then do several more days of care.

If you receive 4 hours of care daily you will probably go into a state of deep, deep relaxation and it will be difficult and counter-productive for you to upregulate to do energetic activities.

Consult

Your care will begin with a consult in which we will go over your health history and health concerns.

That will take 30-60 minutes.

Exam and Treatment

After that, we will begin the exam and treatment.

I integrate the exam with the treatment in a “find it and fix it” approach to health care.

The body guides the pace, the order, and the nature of intervention.

Listen

We listen to the body and it tell us what its priorities are for healing.

Only the body knows the best way for you to come into your renewed and vibrant self.

Sometimes the body will want to start with energy work and emotional work.

Sometimes the body will want to start with addressing the fluid body.

We listen and follow the needs of the body.

Take a Break

During the session, you might feel saturated and like you need a break.

You may need to pee, or eat, or take a stretch outside.

We also break up the manual therapy with exercise and ergonomic training, and instruction for self-care at home.

After the Session

After the session, everyone is encouraged to do a bit of gentle movement, eat and drink, and move at a pace that is right for you.

Your body will be changing at warp speed.

Rest and gentle movement support that change.
